Fashion review: Kardashian Kollection exclusive to Dorothy Perkins

For some of us who know Dorothy Perkins we think of the very sophisticated and mature audience profile related to the high street store. Its refined and sensible and holds a rather neat look on its clothes. Despite this not fitting in with my style of clothing and look, I do not hold any grudge to the store, in fact I find it a very nice store, that's until I hear "Kardashian" into the mixture. If you have not heard of the Kardashian's you are clearly showing me evidence of living under a rock for nearly 30 years but if you seriously have not heard of them, allow me to enlighten you. The Kardashian's so to speak are a family of celebrity socialites living off of there kins notoriety; that being Kim Kardashian. Kim Kardashians claim to fame and prior to her riches was lead by a sex tape(yeah she's THAT kind of person.) In a nutshell she basically gained her own reality show, became an model, an actress, an business woman and a fashion designer. This leads now onto the whole topic, the Kardashian's clothing collection exclusive to Dorothy Perkins( and other stores for that matter)Kardashian Kollection coming soon

Taking into consideration that the Kardashian's put their clothing line via a store aimed at maturer women, i find this as a rather odd audience to approach. If you think about it, the population who actually have heard who the Kardashian's are would generally be the younger age groups (an average between 16-25). I'm not saying that older people don't know who they are, its just where about they are popular towards. Now despite I'm not a big fan of them, they could of done SO much better with this clothing line. If you think i'm just hating on the clothes because of them ill give you an example of a celebrity who has done a clothing line who I don't like either; Victoria Beckham  her clothing line is smart and sexy and yet I am not a fan of her. Moving on to the topic at hand, Usually, their clothes more focus on the obsession of animal prints (yes, what's showing on the banner) so its kind of what's really showing on the label. an example:

Kardashian Kollection Women's Convertible Dress - Leopard Print
This is one of their leopard dresses
Kardashian Kollection Monokini - Leopard Print
leopard swimsuit...
Kardashian Kollection Women's Twill Skinny Pants
...leopard jeans...

...You get the idea. Its not exactly bound breaking their line of clothings, even if they do head away from the prints because conventionally; the clothes are pretty much the same as each other. If its basically not leopard print, its polka dots, which again are a pretty basic pattern unless done right. Its the same with the leopard print, do it right, don't over do it and its best teamed with a black base for it to stand out. I can safely say I'm not the only one who doesn't exactly find this "Kollection" amazing, Kate Middleton after all dismissed there freebie sent from them, and a couple of independent reviewers were highly disappointed by the design and even were shocked about how expensive it was (one bangle is retailed at £25.00).

To make this review also fair, i have picked out a range of their designed clothes that dont look too bad and would recommend buying.

Kardashian Kollection Women's Twill Skinny Pants
Interesting pattern, there were some on the dresses, but it suites  trousers more.
Kardashian Kollection Women's Tweed Skirt - Metallic
really cute skirt,
basic, but is worth it.

So, in a whole, the kardashians Kollection personally for me is kind of "Krap" and I wouldn't exactly recommend buying it, unless you really like leopard prints to an obsession like Kim does. Its not worth it, it makes you look more frumpy then foxy so I'm giving it a 5/10.
